Default clarification - GvG ATS rewards

I was reading the rules and rewards for the GvG ATS and I noted something interesting, but I'm not really sure what they mean.

Quote:
"Additionally, guilds and players competing in a 1v1 daily tournament or GvG daily tournament will receive bonus Tournament Reward Points for completing the tournament. The rewards are as follows:
GvG Monthly: 0
GvG Daily: 15
1v1 Monthly: 0
1v1 Daily: 5

Note: Only guilds with more than 1000 rank will receive tournament reward points."
Specifically I'm curious about the last sentence. When they say more than 1000 rank, they mean guilds that are worse than 1000 rank like 3000 rank correct? This goes with my experience in a rank 3000 or so guild. Does that mean guilds that are actually decent don't get tournament reward points?? or they just don't get the free points at the end for participating? or does this even apply anymore?

I guess that's the rating. You need a rating of 1000 to earn RPs

Exactly, you need to have 1000+ rating and not have lost more or worse than you have won to get ATs, no more afking GvG tournaments :3 Which means to get any points at all even for completing an AT you have to be 1000 rating or more or you are wasting your time.

this also prevents higher ranked people dropping a smurf guilds rank on purpose then farming the lower ranked people in a tournament

I don't think many high ranked guilds do this, there isn't really a good way to "farm" lower ranked guilds in an AT because after you beat a few bad guilds you will inevitably be faced against a guild who has a roughly equal win/loss within the tournament. Also for higher ranked guilds doing AT is a good way to push their rating higher and so won't really want to waste their time on a smurf in an AT when they could be benefiting the rank of their main guild.

so much wrongness...
people with rank, not rating, 1000 or better (meaning rank 1-1000) get the bonus RPs for completing gvg daily ATs.
this is to prevent, for example, a rank 3000 guild from afking the tournament for 15 free reward points.

Like Rhamia Darigaz said. Guild needs to be in ladder to get rp:s which means they need to be rank 1000 or better.
